Beta-Reviewing Our Latest Book-Cover
This is the latest version of our cover-art. I have some reservations about the background, but I think we’re getting very close. In the next version, we’ll probably shrink the briefcase and try a background that’s primarily blue or green, like a park or sky. There’s already quite a lot of brown in the cover.

I like it, but I agree there’s a lot of brown. Seeing as the “Office of Special Investigations” is written on the briefcase, maybe something a bit office-y in the background? A water cooler or something. That would show that the two are in a very recognizable place, but would make people wonder what the heck a mutated alligator is doing there. But that’s just my observation.

A water cooler. Hmm… OK, I think I could roll with it. This is what I have in mind.
1) A water cooler.
2) An office poster that says “12 days since last fatality. STAY VIGILANT.”
3) Right below the poster, there’s a hand-scrawled post-it note that says “This means you, mammals!”
4) A powder-blue, very bland wall. I think that will offset the brown nicely.
Could Agent Black perhaps wear a black suit? It may feel cliche, but I think it will imply the “secret government agent” thing. Also, it’s reminiscence of MiB might help because the OSI isn’t a very normal organization.
