“I Kill Giants” is hilarious
I'm a former assistant editor with advice about how to write novels, comic books and graphic novels. Most of my content applies to fiction-writing in general, but I also provide articles specifically about superhero stories.
It’s not quite a superhero comic book, but
please check it out anyway.
I agree. Quite amusing. You know you can read several first issues of different comics in Images’ site–that’s were I originally read it as I researched how 1st issues went about (though this comic wasn’t much help for a superhero story, I don’t think).
It’s probably not a superhero story, but I think that a superhero author could use it to learn something. It introduces its main character, setting and premise in an interesting way. It’s MUCH more readable than blocks of narration.
It was pretty good. I wouldn’t say that I would pick up the second, but the first issue was pretty funny.
Nice to see you, Dforce!
Yeah, I understand. I’m much more receptive to light sci-fi (stories like Spiderman) than magical superheroes (Sailor Moon, IKG). Also, student protagonists usually feel a bit cliche to me.
