I hate it when characters are called She-somethingorother. Like She-Hulk, etc. It’s like “O RLY? I didn’t realise she was a girl, what with the comically oversized chest and all!” Lol, I completely agree with the article.
They’re usually called She-Whatever to distinguish from a male character with the same powers. What’s the point? Are they not important enough (or maybe too dumb?) to think of a new name? Kamari was smart enough to call herself Sentry, not She-Guardian! Lol
The only instance where She-whatever has been helpful isn’t even canonical. I watch a show called Ranma 1/2, about a boy who changes genders when splashed with cold water, and changes back when splashed with warm. To distinguish whether he is a boy or girl, fans typically call him Ranma as a boy, and She-Ranma, Femma, Fem!Ranma, etc to show that he’s a girl at that point.
I possess a great amount of hate (To quote Kefka, “Hate…hate…HATE!!!”) for names which have letter changes to make them appear cooler. Havok, Khaos, and so on, I am looking at you.
