A directory of concept art
This is a pretty awesome collection of concept art. Pretty much all of it is kickass, but here are a few pieces that caught my eye. Hat tip to David Thompson’s Culture, Ideas and Comic Books.

These six paintings were done by Andreas Rocha, Dan Milligan, Dan Milligan, Howard Lyon, Dan Milligan again and Alp Atiner.

i have a friend who is learning to do work like this. really stunning
Impressive, especially the one of the dragon.
I thought the deer was an interesting touch in the dragon painting. (And here I thought that dragons just sat around all day, waiting to get mauled and looted by adventurers).
Also, the fifth one from that game inFamous– very good angle, but I feel like they could’ve done more with it to help represent the game.
I really liked the third one. I love images that are character-action centric, plus the hanging over the street is BA. I really want something actiony for my cover because I think they’re a lot more gripping. In the one from inFamous his expression looks a little odd to me. It’s a little too mock-action, I would have prefered just a snarl.
“I really want something actiony for my cover because I think they’re a lot more gripping.” Agreed. Hell, I inserted a helicopter into a picture of a writer’s office.
