Is there an age limit for this one? Because I’ve actually been polishing my old vacuum-salesman-turned-supervillain story.

According to the submissions guidelines, this themed issue of Wily Writers is open to everybody. There are other themes coming up too.
Wings: A vacuum salesman? That’s gotta suck. *ducks!*
I’ve just submitted my own story. =D
Wings, I didn’t see any age requirement on their submissions page.
I didn’t see one either, I’m just hoping that it actually means “It’s okay, you little people can enter too” instead of “It’s so obvious that you have to be 18 to enter this that we’re not saying anything”.

Most places (unless they only publish adult material) don’t care how old you are. Don’t mention it and they’ll never know or care. If your story is what they were looking for, they’ll publish it.
For a lot of writers, they get published only after they’re legally adults because it took them that long to get their craft to a professional level, not because the markets snubbed them until they were voting age.
Incidentally, the only reason to mention one’s age in query letter would be if the issue/contest/market was only open to young writers. (Or senior citizens, but those are usually memoir contests. )
