Twenty Questions to Ask Before Submitting Your Story

Published by at 5:33 am under Getting Published

Novelist Paulo Campos has a list of questions to help you determine whether your story is ready to submit. I found #1-9 especially helpful. One of my own: during your last rewrite, how much of the story changed? If less than 10% changed, you’re probably ready to submit.

Only one space between sentences?! I feel like everything I know is wrong 🙁

When I’m writing online, using two periods comes most naturally to me. However, WordPress automatically changes it to one because it hates me.

When writing novels or media where space is exceedingly tight (comic books, advertisements, etc), I would recommend one space between sentences.
