- 1990s Superheroes
I actually like the first one better, just because it looks more cartoony/like a comic and the words are darker. But that’s just me, and I don’t read a lot of comics so I don’t know much.
Overall I like the first one better. Here’s why:
- better looking background (just my opinion)
- the letters are bold, so it reads more easily
- I prefer the conversation in the first one. It reads better (again, just my opinion)
The only thing in the second one that I saw as an improvement was the bubble with the egg -> reptile and ? -> baby. I thought that was really clever.
The first one is also shorter. I thought the added things in the second one were a bad use of space.

By the way, I had a lot of fun making Agent Orange’s new thought-bubble (egg –> alligator and ? –> human).
I like the updated version, but a minor flaw with both in my opinion is that it would seem more in-character for Agent Orange to say “with child” and “children” rather than “having a child” and “kids.” It would be a bit more stilted and nonhuman to me. And why does he call himself Agent OJ?
But great work!
I enjoy how funny and unassuming the background looks in the updated version… it kills me for some reason.
