2012 Resolutions and 2011 Summary

Published by at 2:22 am under Navel-Gazing

My 2011 resolutions for SN:

  • Increase site traffic from 150,000 hits to 200,000 (around 25% growth).  I actually had about 219,000 (roughly 38% growth).
  • Write at least 100 writing articles.  Including guest articles, we had about 105.
  • Get published.  Not yet!

My 2012 resolutions for SN:

  • Increase site traffic from 600 hits per day to 750 (around 25% growth) 825 (38% growth) 900 (50% growth). UPDATE: I increased my goal targets on March 10 and April 4 because traffic was better than anticipated. By the way, 900 hits/day works out to around 325,000 hits for the year.
  • Get in the top 2 results on Google for a search for list of superpowers and superpower listAccording to Google Traffic Estimator’s (crude) estimate, those two queries total ~20,000 searches a month.  It’s surprisingly competitive.
  • Host at least 100 writing articles, including 20+ guest articles.
  • Get at least 10 articles with 10 Facebook likes.  So far, my personal best is 410 likes on a single post (the Green Lantern/Batman demotivational).
  • Get published.  Hope springs eternal!

Hello, B. Mac. Long time no read. Just dropping by to with you a Happy New Year! Best of luck with the site. I would love to be around more often like I did in the past, but not having internet at home throws a wretch into that equation. No matter though. I will never forget everything that I’ve learned here and the great connections that I’ve made.

Best of luck in all your endeavors, my friend!

Sounds a lot like my New Years resolutions. (Post more on my blog, try harder to get published, etc.)

    Good luck and good writing!
